Here is what I've been up to.
Since my book "Golden Gate Gloves" will be coming out in the early part of October 2012. I have been working the social networks. I've come to the conclusion that if you want to write, that's great, but if you want to be a writer that sells enough to take your wife out to a nice dinner, you need to have a robust online social network.
So what does it take to have a robust online social network you ask? Well about ten hours a day and another three hours at night. Over the course of a week or two you might have the beginnings of a good social network, not robust yet but good.
But the realization I've come to while venturing down the social media highway, is that the number of facebook friends is one thing but an actually connection, an email between you and another person is very much more. When I develop a contact, it's not someone I hope will just buy my book, but someone that I can develop a business relationship with. Someone who I can help out just as they can help out me.
So for the past few weeks instead of just beefing up my social media, I've been developing business partners. Once the book comes out I hope to start developing fans.
So when am I ever going to write again? I don't know buy my sleeping hours between 10:00pm and 4:00am are free.
